Since 1991, the Center for Assisted Reproduction has offered its egg donor program as a means to assist couples whose infertility is attributed to poor or absent ovarian response. CARE provides the full array of procedures needed for the egg donor process. Since its inception, CARE has offered donor recruitment and screening as well as evaluation of the recipient, which includes diagnostic tests, surgical treatment of uterine defects, egg retrieval, in vitro fertilization (IVF), embryo transfer and embryo cryopreservation. Whether you are seeking an egg donor or you'd like to donate eggs, the caring staff at the Center for Assisted Reproduction can help you to achieve your goals.
CARE Fertility has been a pioneer of assisted reproductive technologies in the north Texas region with several firsts. CARE is excited to announce the first ongoing pregnancy in the region achieved through the application of egg freezing technology. Historically, the ability to freeze sperm and embryos has allowed numerous couples to achieve successful pregnancy. Cryopreservation or freezing of eggs has proven to be far more challenging. Development of this technology has allowed CARE to develop an "egg bank" for treatment of infertility related to egg related issues. On the very first attempt, freezing and thawing of a donated egg has led to an ongoing pregnancy due in early July. In addition, this technique can be offered to preserve fertility for patients facing the future risk of ovarian failure due to needed chemotherapy. Prospective recipients of donated eggs may choose an egg donor from the extensive egg donor database that our program updates regularly. We screen each donor meticulously to ensure that recipients have access to information regarding the physical, educational, and medical background of their chosen egg donor. Our program can also administer any additional donor testing that the recipients request. Your satisfaction and peace of mind are our priorities.
